dressed for life

Tibetan nomad woman, Upper Mustang, NEPAL
a Tibetan nomad woman, Lo Manthang
This woman comes from a family just across the border from Lo Manthang, in Tibet. I am guessing when I suggest that her family has a per-capita income of about US$200 per year, certainly it is not very much. BUT...look at her.. dressed for life! A celebration of colour and difference.
Her braided hair is adorned with yellow-amber (which is probably a re-constituted form), along with a string of silver Indian rupee coins and glass beads. These women dress with style.
It's a rare privelege to experience this place.
