West across the Kali Gandaki near Tsarang, Nepal

A delight of trekking the eastern side of Mustang is the chance to look across the valley in anticipation of the eroded valleys and coloured cliffs which you visit on the trip downstream.
The photo shows a side valley with many abandoned fields, indicative of wetter and more populous times.
